We are so sorry that you now have the difficult and emotional task of planning your loved ones life celebration. Our thoughts are sincerely with you at this time and we hope to help you make the occasion a fitting memory for your family and friends.
There are two options we can offer; simply hire all the required vintage china and service ware and provide the catering yourselves. We can make suggestions and give advise on everything you may require to make your soiree complete. You are welcome to transport the items yourselves, or we can transport them for you.
Alternatively, the second option is for Dollys to cater, serve and take on all the arrangements for you.
If the latter is your preferred option, we suggest service as a buffet style; it encourages your guests to circulate and revisit the catering. We will pop a cup saucer and spoon at each table setting and in the middle of each table we can provide a bunch of silk/or fresh flowers (at an additional cost) everything else would be set as self-serve. Perhaps you would like to add a framed photo of your loved one on each table, or some cards for guests to leave their thoughts and memories.
We will also set up an additional service station with more cups and saucers and space to pop the tea pots, milk and sugar. Here you could also pop some paper/plastic cups for soft drinks, juices and sparkling flavoured waters.
The buffet table will have cake plates, a mixture of glass cake stands, three tier cake stands, silver three tiered stands (for scones) and vintage platters for your sandwiches, all displayed on crates and vintage suitcases to create height and a nostalgic visuals.

We have been organising ‘life celebrations’ events for over a decade and endeavor to assist you with the planning and smooth running of the day in any way we can. We look forward to the possibility of helping create a beautiful occasion with personal touches and can also help with saying farewell with flowers.

Minimum 30 guests
Including the menu below, delivery, set up of vintage china and service, clearing away and washing up. We will require up to 1.5 hours either side of your event to set up. Depending on your guest numbers 1 – 3 members of staff will be with you to replenish throughout the afternoon tea
